How to Build Your Own Charm Jewellery

How to Build Your Own Charm Jewellery

Building your own charm jewellery is simple.

You choose your base, pick the charms you want, then leave a note at checkout telling us how you want it made.

At My Charm Bar, you can build your own bracelet, necklace, earrings or bag chain. You can also recreate a piece you saw on one of our TikTok Lives.

The quick version

Here’s how it works:

Step What to do
1 Choose your base
2 Pick your charms
3 Add everything to basket
4 Leave a checkout note
5 We build it for you

That’s it. You do not need to design anything from scratch or message backwards and forwards unless you want help choosing.

Step 1: Choose your base

Your base is the piece we add the charms to.

You can choose a:

  • bracelet
  • necklace
  • pair of earrings
  • bag chain

A bracelet is the easiest everyday option. A necklace works well if you want the charms to sit with an outfit. Earrings are better for something small and fun. A bag chain is perfect if you want the charm look on your bag instead.

Step 2: Pick your charms

Next, choose the charms you want added.

You can pick charms based on:

  • initials
  • birthdays
  • favourite colours
  • hobbies
  • symbols
  • memories
  • friendship
  • something you saw on TikTok Live

There is no right or wrong way to do it. The best charm jewellery usually has a reason behind it.

Maybe it reminds you of someone. Maybe it matches your style. Maybe you just saw it on live and thought, “I need that.”

That’s enough.

Step 3: Choose the style

Before adding everything you like, think about the type of piece you want.

Style Good for
Simple 1 to 3 charms for everyday wear
Personal Initials, symbols or meaningful charms
Cute Playful charms, colour and fun shapes
Statement More charms and a fuller look
Matching Best friends, sisters or couples

Simple usually works best if you are unsure.

You can always build something fuller later.

Step 4: Leave a note at checkout

Once your base and charms are in the basket, leave a note at checkout.

Keep it clear.

Example:

“I’d like the heart charm, star charm and initial J charm added to the bracelet.”

Or:

“Please make this like the necklace from tonight’s TikTok Live.”

That note tells us what to create for you.

If you want the charms in a certain order, say that too.

Example:

“Please put the initial charm in the middle, with the heart and star either side.”

How many charms should you choose?

For a clean everyday piece, choose 1 to 3 charms.

For a fuller bracelet or necklace, choose 4 to 7 charms.

You can add more if you want a bolder TikTok-style look, but try to keep a theme. Too many random charms can look messy.

A simple rule:

Look Charm count
Minimal 1 to 3 charms
Fuller 4 to 7 charms
Bold 8+ charms

If you are buying as a gift, keep it simple unless you know their style well.

Can you copy something from TikTok Live?

Yes.

If you saw a piece on TikTok Live, mention it in your checkout note.

Tell us what you saw and which charms you want. That makes it much easier for us to create something close to the piece you liked.

For example:

“I saw the gold necklace with the heart, bow and pearl charm on TikTok Live. Please make mine like that.”

Is build your own charm jewellery good as a gift?

Yes. It works well because you can make it personal without overcomplicating it.

Good gift ideas include:

  • birthday charm bracelets
  • best friend charm jewellery
  • sister gifts
  • mum gifts
  • matching charm pieces
  • “just because” gifts

Pick a base they would actually wear, then choose charms that feel like them.

For example, you could choose an initial, a heart, a birth month charm, a favourite colour, or something linked to a memory you share.

Quick checklist before you order

Before checking out, make sure you have:

  • chosen your base
  • added your charms
  • checked the product details
  • left a clear note at checkout
  • mentioned TikTok Live if you are copying a live piece

If you are unsure, keep the design simple.
