A birthstone charm is a quiet way to make a piece personal. Choose the stone for your birth month, or pick one for a mum, a partner, a child or a friend.
Traditional birthstones by month
January is garnet, February amethyst, March aquamarine, April clear or diamond, May emerald, June pearl, July ruby, August peridot, September sapphire, October opal, November topaz and December turquoise. Some months have more than one traditional stone, so you may see a few colour choices.
Build a family bracelet
Add one birthstone charm for each person in your family. A bracelet with the whole family on it makes a lasting gift for a mum or a nan.
Mix with letters and hearts
Put a birthstone beside a letter charm for an initial and month together, or add a heart for something sweeter. Charms are £4 each, or any 3 for £10.
